The Bible Study group meets on a Tuesday to engage with biblical texts in detail, learn about contemporary biblical scholarship and connect the Bible to every day life in the 21st century.
Adult Education

Speakers are invited to attend after the church service to discuss various issues. They take the form either of discussion groups or a lecture.
The Knitting Group

Time: Every Wednesday from 10am to 12 noon (during winter – starting about Easter and finishing Labour weekend)

The Village Church Knitting Group’s main focus is on knitting for Charity, although we have enjoyed all sorts of embroidery, quilting and knitting over the years.
​
Members bring their own work (and complete many unfinished pieces) and we share ideas and patterns so it’s an opportunity to develop your own creative skill while enjoying the company of others. The Group also attends exhibitions. Anyone is welcome to join.
The Singing Group

Time: Every Wednesday from 9.30am (during winter – starting about Easter and finishing Labour weekend)

Covers a wide range of traditional hymns, from your old favourites to those of fellow singers.
